Sometimes you put a lot of effort into something and it doesn't work out. From that comes the unexpected moment where you must sit and reflect on your game plan. In the grand scope of things, how much did this one thing really matter?

• Read my April journal entries.

March 2024

A labourous month is over. Unfortunately I'm not really catching a break; I hurt myself pretty badly a week ago and it's persistent enough that I need to see a doctor for it. A few days off of work did help substantially, at least.

New this month:

• A new post about the origins of my username.
• The newly opened Credits page contains exactly what it says.
• I removed my Neocities profile. Site updates will now be shared exclusively through RSS.
• Read my March journal entries.

February 2024

My plan was to have this update ready before my holiday, but I had absolutely no time! Time is moving fast for all the right reasons. I spent more time on this website last month than ever before, just because I felt so antsy I had to get things done. Next month may be a bit slower because of real life responsibilities coming through. Keep me in your thoughts!

New this month:

• If you are reading this on the website you will see the biggest update: The complete layout overhaul. Unexpectedly I got this done within a month. It has got most features I wanted out of a website, and image-wise I built it with a more clear theme in mind. For the time being this will be my theme.
• New Jukebox playlist: Bollywood tunes.
• The Shelves are now formatted the way I wanted: A summary of my favourite works and then a backlog of everything. These will continue to be updated incrementally.
• My first attempt at a button is now on the Links page. Will probably update it when I find out how everyone makes theirs look so HD.
• Read my February journal entries.
• Introducing a first attempt at RSS feed. I went with the manual update once a month style, let's see how long I can make this work.

January 2024

Just like that the first month of the year is over. As a wise poet once said, "Time is like a fuse, short and burning fast." I think I'm starting to get a grip on how I want to display things on my site. Jukebox here, shelves there; it could be a house tour of sorts.

New this month:

• The Shelves is where I will keep my list of finished media and soon also my physical collections. I am not satisfied with the layout, but with the current theme my options are a bit limited. It's probably gonna be the thing to push me to remake my site from scratch.
• The Jukebox is now mobile-friendly. Also the first mobile page I coded from scratch.
• Read my January journal entry (felt uninspired this month so just one!)

December 2023

Despite a vacation in between, this month ended up being very productive for the site.

New this month:

• Introducing the Jukebox, my first page coded entirely by me
• My 2023 wrap-up is now online
• Spontaneously remade my splash page (also entirely by me). Information on my current activities is now on this page instead
• No longer hotlinking any images
• Read my December journal entries

November 2023

This is one of those months where I have to look back into the Activity tab to remember what I exactly did. The combination of dreary weather and shitty news didn't help here. But what seemed at first a month of inactivity ended up being quite productive, up until the last minute.

New this month:

• A page with all the software and hardware I use
• Tweaked the CSS so I don't have to add manual empty lines between text
• Somehow started building my own page from scratch. I now understand what it means when people say their site is held together by duct tape.
• Read my November journal entries

October 2023

In 2018, the Polar Music Prize was awarded to Metallica and the Afghan National Institute of Music. This was such an absurd crossover of two of my favourite music genres that to this day I'm not sure it actually happened-- Oh wait, this is the news tab.

New this month:

• My first shrine is pretty much done
• Read my October journal entries

September 2023

Whoa, September has completely passed by me! I've been consumed this month by my new instrument, but I have also done some substantial stuff to the site. Slowly getting there. Oh, and I updated the EXID masterlist. Not a part of this website, still a monumental job!

New this month:

• My first real blog
• Halfway done with my first shrine
• The link page is now presentable

August 2023

August started a bit tough with a massive eye strain attack, rendering me unable to look at anything for over a week. This still has me cautious to look at screens for longer than I should, meaning that I haven't done much on the site this month. I think I've also hit a first wall: After getting the layout like I wanted, I struggle with thinking what I should put on my site. The few ideas I have require some layout reworking or an entire different layout (like an OC Wiki - which is probably gonna take years to finish at my pace).

New this month:

• Blog and journal page

July 2023

My first month of webmastering is about to end. I made surprising strides in the appearance of my website and feel motivated to keep improving on it. I'm still unsure about the exact content I want to show and in what shape, although a blog format seems to me most logical. Another question is whether I want to post OC universe content on this site (as it looks to becomes more of a personal blogging space), or make a separate domain for it. These questions will continue to be pondered upon.
